With a heavy heart, we said goodbye to a beautiful little furry family member yesterday. Meeah (Mia) suffered accute liver failure and was beyond recovery, so yesterday my Mum and I sat by her side as we took the pain away.

She was 11 years old and had a great life chasing pheasants, inhaling food without chewing and lounging around the house in the most un-lady-like positions.

I've always had a connection to dogs but Meeah was the most emotionally connected dog we've ever had... she always knew when I was upset. During times when I've been struggling with life, she would feel it too and be there to offer some cuddles while looking at me with deep feeling in her eyes.

She mothered 9 healthy sprocker puppies, brought so much happiness to our lives and was the best companion.

I'm grateful that she's not in pain anymore and I'll miss her unconditional love forever.

The Diddy Dawg.

I finished my 1140 mile self-supported, wild-camping, savage hill climbing, Covid-avoiding, wet and soggy Scotland bike ride from Land's End to John O'Groats exactly ONE YEAR ago today!

Remembering the feeling of walking out of Reading Station to be greeted by all my crazy familam and friends was epic and something I'll never forget.

Shortly after this trip I smashed my £20k target for @alportuk and including gift aid raised £23,574 to create the 'Don't Wait!' Fund, which has since provided sports equipment / memberships for the Alport's community... Something I'm very proud of!

All I need to do now is try and finish this documentary about it all!! Making progress... slowly, but surely.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported my adventures over the last couple of years, I appreciate every single message, donation and act of kindness along the way!

Cheers!

Well... Brecon Beacons was GLORIOUS!
Highly recommend it if you haven't been already! Had an awesome hike to the top of #penyfan and explored a bunch of waterfalls.

Thinking about #scaffelpike next aren't we @wanderlust.nika ?!

Any advice for doing Scaffel Pike welcome 😁

I had some valuable time to think about life and everything that's happened in the last two years, while hiking Ben Nevis...

Something I've never really spoken about before is 'manifesting' and how I use visualisations to achieve certain things.

Personally, I think it stems from learning tricks on a bmx or mountain bike while 'growing up'... which naturally involves visualising exactly what you need to do to land something new. So as soon as I said out loud "I might try and hike Ben Nevis" at 12:15pm yesterday afternoon... I instantly started visualising my little celebration at the top and the views that awaited me!

I put many more things into perspective during the 3.5 hours up and 3 hours down yesterday... but wanted to share a little something about manifesting the things you want to achieve.

Go in with the right mindset, come away with the right outcome 🙌🏼

Beauuuuutiful trek up, around and back down High Cup Nick in the North Pennines. Started from a little village called Dufton and was 9 miles altogether.

Absolutely gorgeous place... Feeling very blessed to be here!

This bike has got me through some dark times in the last few months!

Making time for sports and hobbies, stepping away from my saturated mind and giving myself time to hit reset has always been beneficial for my mental and physical wellbeing... but understanding that it's not the only solution when feeling pummeled with anxiety, has been really important for me.

Throughout January and February I absolutely worked myself into the ground, because it was the only thing that distracted me from the challenges ahead. I knew I needed to make a change and find the real me again, because I'd totally lost sight amid the gloomy, wintery days of lockdown.

So if there's anything I've learnt during this glorious social media detox... it's to acknowledge when something's destined to change, keep looking forward and to embrace alternative options.

Life's great when you open out, explore new ways and go with the flow.

'Some' people think I'm cool... (they say so!)

I just think I'm a silly bugger who's trying to be cool!

If you've never jumped out a plane before... do it this year when we're allowed... you may as well?! And you won't regret it!

Life's good when you push your limits... and you'll LOOK as if you're super cool 😎
